Been Busy :)

Hey everbody! I'm still alive, hehe :) After KY I went to VA for a teensy bit but unfortunately I was in my box longer than expected and didn't get to spend a lot of time with Laura's (princessemily) dolls-some of my pen pals. But I loved every minute I spent with them...well, except when my school dress went missing! Luckily with Sophie's help, we found it and Sophie and everyone found out who took it :)

Here's a photo of me and Lindsey when I got to Laura's:

And a group photo-clock-wise from bottom left: Sophie, Lindsey, me, Anya, Anne-Marie and Coconut!

After that I headed off to OH to spend time at princessredpez's home and then back to VA where I found myself in Oz at MaryCarly's.

On October 23rd, I arrived in MA at JSMT's house and was quickly greeted by her Kaya :)

On Halloween I got to visit JSMT's Theatre Class-so fun! Now I want to be in a play, hehe! And I met Dakota and Mia-two dolls owned by twin 8-year olds, while visitng AGB-Boston at the grand opening! mass08_4

In MA, I've also excercised-I know-hard work, hehe as well as had my photo taken next to a poster of Larry Bird (big Celtics player), dressed up as both a Jackolantern and Bat, participated in stage combat during one of the Theatre classes-hey-everyone called me a Teacher's Assistant and I'm only 9 :D, as well as many other fun things! Monday I'll be heading back to VA to visit with Christine76 and her dollies but I'll of course miss it here at JSMT's.

At The Sewing Table

Oh man! I got to see Bean's sewing table! It's messy. Sara says that's
how you can tell Bean works at it a lot. Bean decided I needed
something nice and summery, so she made me this stuff. The skirt's
swishy! She tried to embroider the edge for me, but the sewing machine
acted "ornery". Apparently we say that a lot here in the South.

Let Us Eat Cake!

Hey, everyone! Kirsten here. I got to Kentucky just fine! Everyone's being really nice to me, and Bean's already got her tape measure out to try to figure out how to sew me something. (She's freaky like that.) Bean decided that me and the other Kirsten here needed cake -- who doesn't need cake? -- so here we are, caking it up at Uncle David's. See you soon!

Look at Kirsten and I with the yummy cake:

It was sooooo good!

And She's Off!

(*Note: This is not Kirsten; it's Susie). And yes, she has left the building, peoples. Kirsten has left the building.

Translation: Kirsten has been mailed today so she's off for her first host who lives in CA and will be taking her to a midsummer festival. Kirsten is wicked excited! We all miss her already but we know she's going to have lots of fun this year! She's actually now staying with 13 hosts and will be out pretty much a whole year! That's a long time!

Wishing Kirsten safe travels!

Setting Out Soon

Whoohoo! I set off for my first host, in CA, on Monday! I'm so excited! I'm going to a Swedish Midsummer Festival :) At the moment I'm pretty much trying to pack. I want to try to keep updating here as much as possible but who knows if that'll happen.

I will be keeping a reg. journal, too. What toy do I bring? Hmmm...

I can't believe I will be out until April! That's like 10 months! Much longer than I was traveling for last summer. I'm excited with all the places I'll be seeing and excited to meet everyone! I think I'll have lots of fun.

I'll of course miss everyone here but that's part of the life of a traveler. I'll have loads new stories to tell everyone when I get back. Missy says she's going to miss me lots, too! I have to give her a BIG hug before I leave! She's not even sure where she's going to be the rest of the summer or later or anything so this is a year of new adventures indeed! For the both of us!

Less Than A month

Wow, I haven't posted in forever! On Tuesday, May 3rd, Missy, Grandlinda, Felicity, Samantha and I went to AGPNY!!!!!! It was awesome! Grandlinda got me a pink AGPNY shirt and Missy got me my doll, Sari! Now we there are two Saris in the house because she has a yarn doll she made that she named Sari-she's dressed for St. Lucia day, too. Missy said she made her when she first got into AG-isn't that awesome? Her Sari has bright pink hair, though, lol!

Anyway, I leave for my travels early next month. I've got a lot of stuff to still do, like helping Missy organize everything...and packing. And keeping Jess sane because she'll have to take care of Peter and Caro again. She hated it last year. I don't get her, she says Caro is evil but he's a cute puppy! I love him!

At the moment, I'm set to visit about 10 hosts. I should be out until sometime in April. I can't wait. I'll get to visit my pen/epals, Anya, Lindsay, Bean's girls and Violet! It'll be so cool!

Anyway, here's a couple pics from AGPNY!

Traveling Gets Nearer!

Missy put up a thread about me traveling again, last week on AGPT. I've got about 7 hosts so far but would love to go to some more places and meet more people! I want to stay out longer than the summer this time. I'd love to spend some holidays elsewhere this time. *hinthint* Violet I'd love to visit UT sometime! *hinthint* There are so many neat places and I love traveling-as long as I'm not cramped on a ship for months!

I might be going to a Swedish festival in CA in the summer and I'll be visiting Lindsey and Anya, too!

Anyway, if you want to host (if your human is under 18 get permission first), your human must first be a member of either AG Playthings, Doll Cottage or AG_Over_18 (or you must be one of my friends on live journal or here), then email us or PM through one of the boards or something.

Spring Break Photos!

Whoot whoot! I've got my Spring Break album! http://picasaweb.google.com/cherisheddolls/KirstenSSpringBreak2008

Preview:

Spring Break was a lot of fun! We explored a mountain in Alabama, went to a very small Mississippe battlefield, and spent most of the week on an island in SC! We even took a day-trip to Charleston where Missy surprised me a new neclace that looks like the last one she got me which I has lost on my travels last year. I was so happy! She also got Addy a 34-star flag and just has to make a base for it to stand up.

We saw dolphins while at the beach and they were awesome! I also got to fly a kite all on my own and walk in the water:

Sewing

Hey everyone! I started sewing a dress for one of the new girls, tonight. I think it'll be for Nicki if and when she joins us. I hope she likes it. I'll model it myself, when I'm done, since Missy's helping me and it's for the crafty challenge on one of the boards she posts on.

Anyway, spring break starts next weekend and we're going to climb a mountain and go to a park and everything! So expect lots of photos in a few weeks!

And, I can't ask for a lot during spring break because Missy wants to not spend a lot. Why is that, you ask? Because Mischa will probably be coming in a few weeks! See, AG has a free shipping code so Missy and her roomie can bring Mischa (she looks exactly like the new LE, Mia-they both like figure skating and hockey and everything, too-weird) home while saving a teensy bit of money :) That means I'll also have a friend (besides Hallie and Rilla) with me the rest of the time we're here on campus-yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I am going to try my hardest not to ask for anything and everything while we're on break.

Two photos added

I added two photos from this past summer's travels. They're two the right and below the top photo of me. I'll probably switch the bottom two out every so often but I love the top one too much to change it-at least I won't change it for awhile. So think of that one as an avvie/userpic or something. I think it fits this blog so well. But yeay, the two below it will probably switch every so often, so I can highlight new ones (esp. once I'm traveling again). The VA one is curtsy of heritage4 and the CO one is curtesy of asg17. The top one (not sure if I mentioned it before) is curtesy of Marisol Grace Girl.

1, 2, 20, 30...

So, Missy says that 3 or 4 more dolls are joining us this year and 2-4 next year. A couple she's not sure about but knowing her they'll probably join. I'm all up for new friends living here/in Star Valley. So far the list/plan is:
Kit-May (at AGPNY)
Nicki-(hopefully someone will pick her up from MCM in July-or #14-Gabriella)
Mia-(not 100% sure but most likely joining us)-Aug./Sep.
Christmas doll 2008(only Grandlinda and her dolls know who is coming)
2009
Brooke Astrid(new #19)
Gabriella Starlight Cohen (old #14)-either from ebay or by someone picking her up from MCM
MAC Alison

That's quite a list, isn't it? Where will everyone fit? But it'll be cool to meet everyone, although I technically will only be able to meet Kit when she comes, at the moment, since I'll be traveling way before Nicki would get here.

Missy said that we're probably going to stay in SC over spring break like we normally do and that her choir is going to SC, GA, and FL on their little tour, so I'll get to have fun there, too! She said I have to be on my best *blah blah blah* behavior because some places might be slightly easy for me to get lost but she was successful with Marina on last year's choir tour.

Nothing Much Going On Here

Things are going pretty slowly here. I'm bored...so I'm writing here. Susie's nervous to talk to Mrs. Halliwell, her teacher in Star Valley and Hallie's mom and our Girl Scout troop leader, to ask her for help on her math homework. Marina, me, Missy-even Bean-told Susie not to worry and that asking for help isn't a bad thing. I hope she gets up the courage to ask.

Hmmm...I cant think of much else to write. I wrote a letter to Susie and will probably write to Jess, Peter, Lissie and maybe Kaya or Samantha or Nellie, in a bit. Plus we have to make some Valentines. We've made some for the AGPT Valentine swap; I can't wait to find out what we get from it :)

Title change

Okay, I went with Traveling Kirsten's Abode. That way you all know I'm a traveling doll but I can post even when I'm not traveling (and when I am, of course!). This blog is like a home, so Abode fits perfectly, doesn't it?

I forgot that I haven't talked about today or anything. Well, yesterday I wasn't feeling well so I lay in bed all day and slept. And looked at the American Girl magazine (only the best magazine ever) and...I whined and complained to my heart's desire. Today I'm feeling better but still got to lie in bed all day! It was fun! What else...We're doing the Coconut's Cupids on Playthings, which will be cool! I can't wait to find out what we get; we got lotsa nice stuffs from the Christmas card exchange. Um...Addy got her Summer outfit and boots from one of the Christmas secret santa things she participated in. Of course Addy can't wear it until May since she's home and Missy and I aren't but I got to model the outfit! Addy, if you read this, you'll love it!

Happy 2008!

Happy 2008! Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Missy (our big person) couldn't get online much over winter break. But she-we-are back for her last semester of college so I can update more! Because, even though this is mainly supposed to be my travel blog, we all know I don't have to be Traveling to actually post here. It's my own personal space-my haven or sanctuary. I may even alter the title of this blog to reflect that it's my space so I can post as much or little as I want here, right? Right. I mean, LJ will still be the main place we all write but I'll try to write lots here! Who says I can't have two blogs? I'm sure lots of people have two blogs.

Anyway... I came back with Missy this semester since we didn't get to spend much time together right after I had gotten home from my first set of travels. Hallie (a BAB) and Rilla (a Ty Dog) are both here with me. They live in Star Valley with me and my friends, too (well we all travel back and forth between Star Valley and realitiy...).

Speaking of Star Valley, the Winter Festival went well! There was a blizzard in SV the first day of the festival so that day got cancelled but we still had fun on the 23rd. And the recital went well though we all probably messed up once or twice. The recital was sort of on the border between SV and reality, if you can belive that-Missy's cat joined in on the recital! It was fun! Hallie and Ralf were definitely the best; they're great at doing the forward rolls together at the end. And Felicity had some nice moves, too. Here are a couple of photos from the festival:

Jess and me at our booth.

On Christmas, Josefina came here and on Missy's bday, Addy came! Here's a group photo of all us 18" AGs of Missy's.

I hope everyone had a great holidays! What are your New Years goals? Mine is to keep on traveling and see many places! And to braid a rug for my cabin...but mostly to travel more! Missy said she may take me on her choir tour; I hope she does!
~Kirsten

P.S. Which do you like better? Kirsten's Haven, Kirsten's Sancuary, or Kirsten's Abode? Or maybe...Kirsten's Adventures? Kirsten's Stellar Adventures? Kirsten's...oh...I'll think of something maybe.
