Well, back in August, Star Valley held a block party which was a lot of fun! I won third place in the baking competition, with my fruit tart. My cousin, Anna, won first place with a cupcake that looks like a bitten apple; it was really cute! Samantha N. placed second and Annie also got third. Anna and I also entered the three-legged race but we lost that. Oh well. It was still fun, as was the dancing and watching the talent show and everything else!

While Traveling Haley was visiting, last month, she, Samantha J. and I made ghost pops like the ones that Piper had showed on her blog. Haley also tried jack o' lanterns but they they were a bit more tricky because the chocolate wanted to harden more and whatnot. Still, they were tasty. You can see our pops, along with more photos from Haley's visit, here.
It's interesting that we went from last month, having three travelers visiting (Sophie, Haley and Ruthie) to now Ruthie just visiting. She's here until our annual winter festival, in Star Valley (always the weekend before Christmas). This year, instead of Selections From the Nutcracker, like we've done for the past few years, we're going to have a talent show. I'm going to do a cheer routine.
Over this past year, most of Grandlinda's dolls (including Samantha J.) have "moved" to a new doll town, nearby Star Valley. It's called Daisy Hollow (both are still mostly imagined, save for a few doll rooms and temporary set-ups). It was getting a bit confusing have two Samantha Parkingtons, two Molly McIntires and two Felicity Merrimans all in the same town; also, someday we won't live in the same house as Grandlinda's dolls-us and Star Valley would of course go wherever Missy goes.
Speaking of Grandlinda's dolls, Felicity and Rebecca are her newest two. Rebecca will technically be Grandlinda's present to herself. Most of us still don't know who Missy's Christmas 2010 doll will be. The few who do know aren't talking. But we know that Auntie Jenny's #47, Solana, knows her. Jess is determined to find out who the new girl is, before Christmas.
Anyhoo, can you guys believe Christmas is coming up so quickly? It's mid-November already! I have to get working on gifts for my family! And we're going to try to finish our braided rug Jess and I started awhile ago-quite awhile ago.

Well, I know who Missy's Christmas girl is, but does Christmas girl even celebrate Christmas? Didn't she maybe just celebrate a holiday that happened just recently? ;)
'Course Rebecca doesn't celebrate Christmas either...

I was almost going to ask how you knew her and then I remembered you were with Mischa and them when you met Solana, Tessa and Annie. I'm not sure if she celebrates Christmas or not since I don't know who she is, lol.
I admit, I'm not sure what holiday she could've celebrated recently, besides Veteran's Day and I'm pretty sure you're not talking about that.
Still, I can't wait to meet her.
